The Kreinbacher Winery was established in 2002 by Kreinbacher Jozsef. With our current knowledge of Somlo's wines completely rethought, his mission was to create a prestige estate on hill Somlo. The keyword in his philosophy of winemaking is terroir, in its broader sense that is the soils, grape varieties, viniculture technology and the human factor perfectly in tune to handcraft his wines. Currently, the vineyards total 17 hectares.

Throughout the vineyards, the maximum cluster loading is 1kg/vine stock; grapes are harvested when fully ripe, and following multiple sorting, only healthy ones are processed. In the first vintage, wines were fermented and aged in 500-liter, new Hungarian, 'lightly' burnt, oak barrels. As of the 2004 vintage, previously filled barrels have been also used.
