The great vintages of Tokaj wines are the longest-living of all wines of the world!

Description: It smells like a bergamot orange grove in full bloom, feels like satin, so slippery smooth, melts in the mouth. The essence of pure apricot. The flavours recall spice, smoke, flowers and tropical fruit. Typically, this free run juice takes 6 to 8 years to complete its fermentation to about 3-6% alcohol by volume. In unique wooden box!

Notes: Tokaji Eszencia (Essence) is the most fabled and rarest of all Tokaj wines. Eszencia is the first run juice of the Aszo grapes, which seeps from the press under the grapes own weight. The sugar content is extremely high, and the wine will ferment at an extremely slow rate, often over many years. Normally Eszencia will be used as a blending wine, although under exceptional circumstances, the best wine from the best grapes in a top vintage will be released in its own right. This wine will keep for many years (as will most Tokaji), and often command very high prices.
